Great weekend in Cardiff Positive: Great communication from the owners. Very informative. Fantastic location. Lovely, sociable kitchen/dining area. Exceptionally clean. Comfy beds. Negative: Would be nice if there were a few more glasses and cutlery.

Pleasant house in a convenient location for the City Positive: The bedrooms were all a good size and pleasantly furnished, although I didn't realise until we got there that the one with the ensuite is on the second floor. The kitchen/diner is well laid out with plenty of room for eating and relaxing in as well as cooking. The heating system was easy to operate and the house was warm, which was good as the weather wasn't the best for our visit. The house is easily walkable to both the city centre and bay area, although some of the areas you walk through to get to them aren't the nicest. The toiletries provided were really nice, I particularly liked the rosemary shampoo. Negative: Finding the property was a bit tricky as the address given is not one road but a number of cul de sacs so you had to search for the house numbers to find it. The living room is poorly arranged and lacks the attractiveness of the other rooms. Four people would be hard pushed to sit in it comfortably, let alone six if the house was at full occupation. The kitchen utensils and crockery provided were quite basic and not very clean - I washed everything before using them. I was only cooking breakfasts - I would have struggled to cook a main meal with what was provided. I found the correspondence with the owner to be very impersonal and the processes around having to provide (and then get back) the security deposit unnecessarily onerous.
